Cut out clutch
In cut out clutches, spring-loaded balls engage axially in a cup washer. After the coupling torque is exceeded, the balls are pressed against springs by a vector force decomposition and then release the frictional connection. Above the engagement speed of approx. 60 to 80 rpm, the clutch runs through load-free and only when the engagement speed falls below the aforementioned speed does the clutch engage by the balls falling back into their initial position. The clutches are designed to be switchable for both directions of rotation.
Product advantages
Drive is interrupted in the event of overload
No loss of time due to restoring the torque
Switches on automatically at low speed
